Today’s Blessing Prayer: Saturday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you are navigating through these November days with faith and hopefulness for the future.
As we begin a new day, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that our day will be blessed with the warmth of the sun lighting up a beauty of God’s creation. If the gift of the sun is not available, then may we be at least touched by the warmth of many smiles greeting us and guiding us through the gift of all the experiences that this day will bring. May our day be rich in the blessings of God’s grace, mercy, hope, joy, and love wherever we go and in and through whomever we meet. And may we always be blessed in finding God’s presence within ourselves! Have a wonderful Saturday with many blessings! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul

Enjoy the rest of your Thanksgiving weekend and if you will be traveling in the next few days please travel safely! My prayer of blessing for all of us today is – Loving God keep us alert today and always to your unpredictable answers, to your unexplainable surprises and to your unrelenting presence. By your grace and love, make us ever grateful that we are one of your surprises each day of our lives. Bless us today and always with a faith, which moves mole hills and mountains, has often an unseen healing touch, lives everyday stories, celebrates simple suppers, and carries Crosses of Life which turn into Resurrections of hope. Help us to be people of faith, hope and love who are positive, respectful and open to all that is good and life giving. Amen. Blessings to all today! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Lord Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace, make us all witnesses of truth, justice and neighborly love. Banish from our hearts whatever might endanger peace. Enlighten our leaders that they may guarantee and defend the great gift of peace. May all peoples of the earth become sisters and brothers. May longed-for-peace blossom forth and reign always over us. Amen (Adapted from a prayer by St. John XXIII) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Thanksgiving and Thursday greetings and blessings to all. I hope you are navigating through these November days with faith and hope. If you are traveling today or throughout this holiday weekend, please travel safely!

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) Today, my prayer of blessing will be one that I have offered for many Thanksgivings. This Thanksgiving Day I pray that you will always find the blessing of thankfulness in your life. – God of all blessings, source of all life, giver of all grace. We thank you for the gift of life: for the breath that sustains life, for the food of this earth that nurtures life, for the love of family and friends without which there would be no life. We thank you for the mystery of creation: for the beauty that the eye can see, for the joy that the ear may hear, for the unknown that we cannot behold filling the universe with wonder, for the expanse of space that draws us beyond the definitions of our selves. We thank you for setting us in communities: for families who nurture our becoming, for friends who love us by choice, for companions at work, who share our burdens and daily tasks, for strangers who welcome us into their midst, for people from other lands who call us to grow in understanding, for children who lighten our moments with delight, for the unborn, who offer us hope for the future. We thank you for this day: for life and one more day to love, for opportunity and one more day to work for justice and peace, for neighbors and one more person to love and by whom be loved, for your grace and one more experience of your presence, for your promise: to be with us, to be our God, and to give salvation. For these and all blessings, we give you thanks, eternal, loving God, through Jesus Christ we pray. Amen. May the blessing of thankfulness be with you as you journey through this Thanksgiving Day and always! I pray that today will be filled with thoughts and prayers for family and friends who are most important in our lives and for our nation and world as we encounter many situations of the evils of violence, hate, prejudice, disrespect and selfishness! Be safe, healthy, and well today and always. Pray for peace in our families, our cities, our nations, our World and in ourselves. Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God of all thankfulness, your gifts of love and goodness are infinite, help us to pause this day and every day with gratitude for your kindness, mercy and love. Open our hearts to have concern for every person so that all may share your gifts. Finally help us to always recognize your gifts and return to give thanks! Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Wednesday blessings and greetings to everyone! I hope you are navigating through these November days with faith and hopefulness for the future. I also hope you are not too busy getting ready for Thanksgiving!

(Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I have a couple of things to celebrate and/or remember today. I celebrate today the 70th anniversary of my baptism. Yes, 70 years ago on November 22, 1953, 20 days after I was born, I was welcomed into the Church. I often talk about myself as a “womb Catholic.” But I am thankful to my parents for dedicating me to God this day in a formal way and helping to welcome me into this wonderful faith community called Church. I remember today that 60 years ago on this day we mourned as a nation the loss of our president. Yes, 60 years ago today President John F. Kennedy was shot and killed in Dallas, TX. Unfortunately, as a nation we have digressed into untruth, lies, violence of all kinds. We have a void of leadership in many aspects of our life. We continue to mourn people being shot in our nation not by terrorists, but by one another. Still no gun laws, still no respect for human life, still no peace! I hope you are not too busy getting ready for Thanksgiving. If you are traveling today or tomorrow, please travel safely, both to and from your destination. May you have a wonderful celebration tomorrow wherever you are. My prayer of blessing for all of us today... Loving God bless us – Bless us and keep us safe. Let your face shine upon us and show us your compassion especially in those moments when we may struggle. May your love and peace embrace us, all whom we meet and especially those whom we love. May our journeys be safe, and may we find our way home tonight to enjoy your gift family and rest. Amen! Blessings to all and enjoy your day! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Because I am remembering my baptismal day 70 years ago today my prayer this day will be my favorite prayer, a prayer that has gotten me through many things… My Lord God I have no idea where I am going. I do not see the road ahead of me. I cannot know for certain where it will end. Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so. But I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you. And I hope that I have that desire in all that I am doing. I hope that I will never do anything apart from that desire. And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it. Therefore, I will trust you always though I may seem to be lost and in the shadow of death. I will not fear, for you are ever near me and you will never leave me to face my perils alone. Amen. (Prayer by Thomas Merton – Found in his book Throughs in Solitude) Today’s Blessing Prayer: Tuesday greetings and blessings to everyone! I hope you are continuing to navigate through these chilly November Fall days with faith and a hopefulness for the future.
Once again, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) So, in the midst of whatever this day will bring let us go forward into this new day whether it has started off well or not by asking for God's blessing on all that we will do and upon all whom we meet but also let's ask God's blessing upon us that like Mary and Eleazar, we will always remain faithful and like Zacchaeus we will not miss the gift of God in our life today! Loving God, bless our families, our friends and all your faithful people so that we, like Mary, Zacchaeus and Eleazar will always try to live your truth; express your love by our lives; share your passion by our enthusiasm; take action with your grace; walk by faith; dance and sing to the gift of your spirit and embrace your unimaginable blessings. Help us make today worth remembering because we know that you created us out of love. God's blessings on your day everyone! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer:
Mary the dawn, Christ the Perfect Day; Mary the gate, Christ the Heavenly Way! Mary the root, Christ the Mystic Vine; Mary the grape, Christ the Sacred Wine! Mary the wheat, Christ the Living Bread; Mary the stem, Christ the Rose blood-red! Mary the font, Christ the Cleansing Flood; Mary the cup, Christ the Saving Blood! Mary the temple, Christ the temple's Lord; Mary the shrine, Christ the God adored! Mary the beacon, Christ the Haven's Rest; Mary the mirror, Christ the Vision Blest! Mary the mother, Christ the mother's Son By all things blest while endless ages run. Amen. |
