Today’s Blessings Prayer: Happy Easter everyone! I hope this finds you enjoying a beautiful Easter Sunday morning. It will be a busy morning and afternoon for me as I have two masses at the Parish of St. John and St. Mary in Chappaqua, NY, the 9:00 am and 10:30 am. Then I will head to the Wartburg Home in Mount Vernon, NY and celebrate a mass, at 2:00 pm. Busy but I am excited to celebrate Easter with the faith communities in both places. I hope you will take the opportunity to celebrate Easter in some way!
As we begin this Easter Sunday morning, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. We are certain that you will provide, so that, as you did at Cana of Galilee, joy and feasting might return after this moment of trial. Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform ourselves to the Father’s will and to do what Jesus tells us: He who took our sufferings upon Himself, and bore our sorrows to bring us, through the Cross, to the joy of the Resurrection. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that all of you will be touch by the joy of Easter and the joy of God’s love. On this most holy feast of Easter, having journeyed with Jesus through his Passion, Death to this day of Resurrection may our Good and Gracious God bless us and protect us from the struggles and perils of life. May the God who so loves us that he gave us his only Son touch us with that love today and always. And through the joyous grace of Christ may God lead us to the banquet of lasting joy. Amen – Alleluia! Enjoy your day and I hope you will give God a little time today and get to celebrate this wonder feast of Easter in some way! Peace in Christ's Passion - Joy in the Risen Lord...Fr. Paul

Today’s Prayer: Loving God, you gift us today with Easter hope. We thank you for the journey that you made from Bethlehem to Calvary. We thank you for all that you have shared with us, taught us and lived for us. Grace us now with an Easter faith that looks into an empty tomb and believes. Enliven our heart to be on fire with the hope that your love is everlasting. May the Easter mystery make us proclaimers of your Word and carriers of your Light. May we truly be joy filled Easter people today and always! Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Holy Saturday greetings and blessings to all! I hope you had a blessed and holy Good Friday. I hope you got to spend a little time in prayer.
As we begin our Saturday and continue our journey through these most holy days, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. We entrust ourselves to you, and the Health of the Sick. At the foot of the Cross you participated in Jesus’ pain, with steadfast faith. You, Salvation of All People, know what we need. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing today is that our Holy Saturday may be rich in the warmth of the sun, that it may be a day when we can hope for all the goodness that Easter is. May we be blessed soon with a new life of joy that will enliven the journey of our life in new and faith filled ways! Blessings on our Holy Saturday journey and please know that all of you are in my prayers throughout this day and always! Peace in Christ's Passion...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: Loving God as we wait today make ready our hearts that they may be inflamed with your presence. Enkindle in them the fire of your love. Grace our souls with the song of your hope, a song, and a tune that will never stop. Strengthen us with patience, strengthen us with energy, gift us with wisdom and enliven us with joy. We make this prayer as your faith filled people embraced by your love and dancing to the rhythm of the song of hope! Amen!
Today’s Blessing Prayer: Good Friday greetings and blessings to all! I trust you are navigating through these Holy Triduum days with faith and hope.
As we begin this Good Friday, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) I hope you will be able to at least find a few moments of quiet to make holy this Good Friday. Perhaps you can sit for a little while before the Cross of Christ and remember that God so loved the world that he gave us his only Son and if we believe God offers us the gift of eternal life. I pray that as you journey through this Good Friday that you might get out to your local parish to attend the afternoon service of The Lord’s Passion, or perhaps the Stations of the Cross these options would be an excellent way to celebrate Good Friday. It is one of the simplest and most beautiful liturgies that we have as a Church. My prayer of blessing today is that somehow on this Good Friday we will be touch by the magnanimous love of God. That we will be blessed with the grace to believe in God’s love. A love that is ground in our friendship with Jesus because there is no greater love than to lay down your life for your friends, Jesus laid down his life today for us, his friends. I send my prayers and I ask God's blessings upon all of you and your loved ones. May the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ be always in our hearts! Peace in Christ's Passion today and always...Fr. Paul Today’s Prayers: Today I offer you two simple little prayers to guide you through this day. The first comes from our Passionist tradition it is a simple prayer we utter each day - "May the Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ be always in our hearts!"
The second prayer was written by the great Jesuit theologian Fr. Karl Rahner, S.J. - "The Cross of My Lord, Be my Standard, Be my Comfort, Be the Answer to all dark questions, The Light of all nights, The Sign that You have chosen us, The mysterious and sure Sign that we are Yours for eternity. Amen." Today’s Blessing Prayer: Holy Thursday greetings and blessings to everyone! I hope that you are navigating through these Holy Week days and the beginning of the Triduum with faith and hopefulness for the future.
As we begin our Thursday and journey through this holy Triduum, I offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) My prayer of blessing for all of us on this Holy Thursday is that the infinite tenderness of God might touch our lives and that we will be blessed over these most holy days with the mercy and joy of the Cross, which springs from the knowledge that we possess an imperishable treasure in these perishable earthen vessels. Holy Thursday blessings to all! Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: O God, in the fullness of time you revealed your love in Jesus. On this remembrance of the eve of his death, we recall how as a sign of your covenant, Jesus washed the feet of his friends and gave himself as Eucharist.
We pray today that you will give us life through the Eucharist and the gift of your joy to follow Christ in humble service. So that one day we may pass over from this world to your kingdom and enjoy the blessing of eternal joy. Amen! Today’s Blessing Prayer: Greetings and blessings to all on this Spy Wednesday. I hope you are navigating through these days of Holy Week with faith and a sense of hopefulness!
As we begin our Wednesday and journey through these days of holy week, I once again offer you Pope Francis’ Prayer… O Mary, you shine continuously on our journey as a sign of salvation and hope. Amen. We seek refuge under your protection, O Holy Mother of God. Do not despise our pleas – we who are put to the test – and deliver us from every danger, O glorious and blessed Virgin. (Prayer Composed by Pope Francis) As we begin this last full day of Lent and perhaps get ready to enter the Triduum my prayer of blessing is that our day, will be filled with God’s many blessings and that we will take some time to enter into the holiness of these next few days. May God bless us these Holy Days and always with the trust, the faith, the hope, the love, the mercy and the joy to never give up on our relationship with God. That we will always know even in the midst of our struggles and the struggles of the world that God is with us, and that God will never leave us to face life alone! Have a blessed and holy day. Peace in Christ’s Passion…Fr. Paul Today’s Prayer: At the name of Jesus every knee must bend in heaven, on earth and under the earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father! Loving God, help us to always be faithful and may the gods of the world not temp us into betraying our friendship with you. Grace us with the strength to always trust in your presence especially when we struggle. Help us to keep hope and joy alive through your word and sacrament! Amen!
